I loved watching her parents love on her. They were delighted to be sharing her first photo session with her. So much of a reminder of my first days with my not so little guys. So sweet!

These two simply said they wanted a session somewhere natural so I took them to one of my favorite spots in Martinez. The sun was glorious that night, the weather was perfect. I really couldn’t have asked for anything better.

I am so happy to be sharing this session with the blog.

They asked me to use her daddy’s guitar during the session and she was content to let us get this one shot before she decided she was done for the day.

This sweet little girl is adorable and is wholly loved by her awesome parents. I am so glad I got to be there for part of her first few days. 

I was blessed to be asked to capture their love. It is not everyday that you have such a connection to those you are photographing. The weddings where I know a majority of the guests are always fun too!

Yay! These two are planning on an Autumn wedding and wanted a touch of Autumn in their engagement pictures. I was happy to oblige. We spent the evening in Clayton, CA and had a great time chatting about their love and wedding. I am really looking forward to being there when they tie the knot later this year!

I have always been especially blessed by this wonderful family. I did their maternity, newborn, and now their 6 months session. Watching babies grow up is one of the biggest pleasures of this job!!

Thanks so much for having me take these pictures of you. I am so glad you took the leap and pampered yourself.

I recently had the immense pleasure of accompanying two of my aunts and my niece to Australia and New Zealand. It was a three week trip and it was amazing. We traveled over 16 hours by airplane there with a stop over in Oahu for a few days to acclimate ourselves. The remainder of the trip was primarily via cruise ship on the Holland America MS Oosterdam (and while on the trip I learned what MS stands for… motor ship, so fancy).

As part of the cruise we started in Sydney and then had stops in Melbourne (Melbin), Hobart, Milford Sound, Dunedin (do-need-in), Akaroa, Wellington, Napier, Tauranga, and finally Auckland. We spend our final day on the island of Waiheke which is 12 miles east of Auckland (we stayed here: Enclosure Bay, the most incredible and amazing hotel experience, LOVE this place!!).

Here are some of the images that I took while I was gone. I really narrowed it down because I wanted to highlight the best parts of the trip here. I also posted a bunch of snapshots on my instagram. I really can’t recommend that place enough!

I am deeply in love with New Zealand. I honestly can’t wait to return. I know I only saw the tip of the iceberg when it comes to NZ but I really can’t wait to see it all!

This wedding venue is spectacular too. I am so very in love with The Serene Sanctuary! Anna, the host, is just incredible at making sure that the event goes smoothly and that everyone is both taken care of and happy through the day. It was the perfect back drop for Aaron and Jessie’s celebration.

Special thanks go out to the awesome and fun loving wedding party. I had so much fun with you guys! Oh and to Aaron and Jessie for making their own beer and cider for the event. We still have a few bottles of cider in the fridge (saving it for Thanksgiving!!)

All the best to you guys as you start your journey as a married couple! We can’t wait to watch as you two build your family.

From the moment I met Kelly, I knew that her event was going to be extremely special and I was so excited when they asked us to be a part of it. From our initial family session in the Spring (see here) throughout the rest of the planning process my excitement grew for this day. It did not disappoint! The Precidio Social Club is gorgeous, the flowers and amazing succulents were beautiful, and the food was decadent!

Kelly and Jacob, thank you again and again for having us capture your love. We are blessed and honored to have been a part of your day!
